about

SallyAnne Santos, winner of Ted Turner Trophy for outstanding contribution to 12 Metre Class on or off of the water.Windlass Creative Director and Owner, SallyAnne Santos arrived in Newport from Manhattan in 2002, after a successful 17-year career in the entertainment industry. Formally trained as a theatrical lighting designer, stage manager and production director, she collaborated with hundreds of the top names in music, dance, drama and performance art to produce some of their most memorable performances and installations.

In 2003, while employed as Creative Director for the Museum of Yachting, she studied website design at the Rhode Island School of Design in order to provide the Museum with a much-needed online presence. At that time, she was among the first to recognize the power and cost-effectiveness of electronic newsletters. Now 15 years on she continues to earn Constant Contact® All-Star Award status each year for her creative, content-rich and visually interesting e-newsletters.

SallyAnne enjoys the collaborative process. She listens to her clients needs, and brings a “show must go on” attitude to every project, meeting budgets and deadlines while typically exceeding expectations. Whether on the stage, or a screen of any size, throughout her career SallyAnne’s primary focus has been on presenting people, products and events in their very best light. Her mission has always remained the same: Make the client’s products and services the star of the show!

In her “copious” spare time, SallyAnne thrives on live music, songwriting, guitar, sailing, running, biking, gardening, local history, photography, classic films and any number of outdoor activities depending on the season. She also volunteers for numerous events, among them have been key media support roles for the America’s Cup World Series, the Volvo Ocean Race Newport Stopover and Sail for Pride.

This is why so many small businesses including creative professionals, not-for-profits, event organizers and yacht clubs choose Windlass Creative to design and manage their marketing communications. Read their comments as you navigate this site, then contact us for your starring role!
